Shanghai X

Posted by
DTW (Orlando, United States) on 12 April 2007 in Cityscape & Urban and Portfolio.

Shot of Nanjing Road which is famous for its shopping. I was in the JC Mandarin on my first trip to China for this one. If you look in the upper right corner you'll see a pointed building, that's the JW Marriott. The previous pictures that showed how large the Shanghai is were taken from that building.

Dawn Sutherland from Phoenix, United States

Maybe it is just me but I look at cities like this and all I see is chaos. I would not want to live in such a cluttered city. I know it works for some people but wow I prefer peaceful surroundings. Great shot though!!

12 Apr 2007 4:00pm

@Dawn Sutherland: Thanks! It does take some getting used to but after a while it's not bad. I agree it's not somewhere I would want to permanently live but for a short time it would be ok.
