Lovebugs

@Jen: I hate the things. They show up 2 times a year for about 4 weeks and serve no purpose that I've found. Thanks for the comment.

@Daroru: Yep they really can eat the paint off your car if you don't wash them off in about a week. They're all over the roads and when they crash into your windshield they're hard to get off. Using your wipers and wiper fluid won't do it., you actually have to scrub them off.

@Yvon: Yeah it has something to do with a chemical in their tissue I think. I've seen the marks on people's cars and I've got one or two places on mine. Getting them off your windshield is a pain too.

@Kairospix: They're called Lovebugs and that's how you always see them, two of them stuck together. They appear two times a year, usually May and Sept and stay around for about 4 weeks.

@Scene by Sharon Photography: Thanks for the comment. For some reason you only see these in FL and a few other Gulf Coast states.
